How do we as teachers need to be like this Momma?

Do our students need this type of push?

We all need to look at how we push our students.  Are we too quick to help and give the answer when students are struggling?  Struggle, discomfort, and failure are all to often walked away from.  These times are actually good for students and their ability to problem solve.  Giving them that chance to struggle, feel discomfort, failure encourages students to observe and look around them to find a solution.  When they open their eyes, during the struggle they may see new things and develop new plans to be successful.  Think about how you are pushing your students, are you giving them the tools to succeed??
